Like every year the staging club Void Berlin invides to their special halloween event with rattling electronic music...
Movie poster time. I made the cover artwork for German Horror Story - an anthology movie with 10 different styles of shortfilm. They're all are by the same species - historical drama ... Of course not. It deals with the sinister stuff.
There's a kind of host between these stories - the presenter is called Mortis. It's a guy like the Crypt Keeper, the Creepshow zombie or Charon the ferryman of Horrorschocker - I love these anchormen. So let's put Mortis on the cover - his face - sneering - that's all. Adequate.
And as the name implies it's an indonesian production ... no, as the title points it out, it deals with german moviemakers ... so we need a gothic german lettering. All street signs in Germany looking like this - norm-based.

off topic side note - There is already a German Crime Story existing. It's a true crime series about the Acid Barrel Killer played by the great Oliver Masucci. It's also some kind of creepshow. Recommendation.

So, here's another joint with the indie game game developer Fullbright.
This time it's about some misery on a bathing resort. And sorry guys, it's not taking place on Camp Crystal Lake ... it's on Springs, Eternal ...also name of the game. Available on Steam in 2026.
I was tasked with the cover art for this bathing fun. So here we are.
The aspiring drum&bass artist called Form Twenty-Nine needed a cover for his current release. So this time we appointed to take a prior illustration from me, from which I revived the coloration a bit and made a lettering for the title. It's nice to take some unknown earlier work and regenerate it for something new, what is also quite appropriate.

Alright ... beside all these demon toilets and gritty subjects once in a while it's a joyful variation to create a less ghastly motif. Well then. Here I could accomplish this for an renowned local craftman's establishment - the Berlin based electrician company Elektrozwerg wanted a small rejuvenation for its mascot.
Approachable to the zeitgeist we have now released this firm,
tattooed dwarf for the company's new cars and other representative
stuff.
So here's another cover artwork for a sleazy PC game release called Toilet Spiders. Developed and released by Fullbright.
The description of the commission was: "...the player's looking straight down into the nasty, dank toilet bowl, and in the dark flush hole you can see four glowing red spider eyes staring back at you...". So I was in. (not the bowl ... in the job.)
...and by the way. It figures that I lifted up some lids upfront and tripped up on that toxic topic around my client - but also I've observed an apology by him in turn.
So as a 8.337 km distant livin' person my thoughts were, let's simply give it a try...
And it was horrible .. no, I'm jokin' ... it was all good. Scheduling, communication, payment - everything really fine and friendly.
So I want to assume that here has not only happen the development of a game.. and hope that more poisonous creatures in horrorgames by Fullright will emerge - cause there we want to have them.

Die Therapy Sessions Reihe im MS Connection Complex in Mannheim fand 2023 zweimal statt. Nun hier die entsprechenden wilden Gebrauchsgrafiken dazu.
Gemeinsam mit dem Void Club Berlin haben wir versucht, einem immernoch sehr berauschenden Musikgenre der elektronischen Musik unsere Ehrerbietung zeitgenössisch in Form eines T-Shirts zu bezeugen...
Dabei kamen zwei Varianten heraus.

Die visuelle Darstellung der Wertschätzung des Genre trägt im Void Club auch zur Raumgestaltung bei.

Die Pandemie ist nun Endemie. Es war also wieder an der Zeit, einige Clubflyer zu gestalten. Traditionell fortgeführt wurde in diesem Rahmen natürlich die Therapy Sessions Reihe im Void Club.
Zudem wurde die Therapy Sessions Reihe im MS Connection Complex in Mannheim mit neuem Flyerartwork bestückt.
Nun endlich ist das Survival Horror Game Stay Out The House (Trailer) in vollem Glanze auf Steam zu bekommen. Der Indiegame Produzent Puppet Combo hat ca. 4 Jahre daran gebastelt. Jetzt wurde die finale Version released und somit auch das dazugehörige von mir gestaltete Cover...

Im Verlauf der Covergestaltung gab es ein paar Logoentwürfe,
welche ich allerdings nicht so recht zum Cover passend gesehen hab. Aber
an dieser Stelle kann ma sie ja mal raushauen.
Vor diesem Release hatte ich bereits schon ein paar Mal das Vergnügen für Puppet Combo zu arbeiten. Letztendlich muss dabei die spielende Person eigentlich immer vor irgendeinem finsteren Schlachter fliehen. Beste Thematik in meinen Augen. Im folgenden ein paar dieser Coverarbeiten...

Die Spielfigur muss durch ein Labyrinth gespickt mit Kreissägen, fiesen Fallen und Plattformen ... und nebenher macht ein Kettensägenpsycho Jagd auf den Spieler. Daher auch dieses etwas explizite Covermotiv - ich bitte sensible Betrachter um Nachsicht...
Babysitter Bloodbath
...eines der ersten Releases von Puppet Combo. Hier würde ich auch die unterhaltsame Abhandlung vom Hersteller selbst sprechen lassen:
"For 22 years Neokalus Burr has stared at an empty wall in the bowels of Monroe State Mental Hospital. But tonight he's ESCAPED to continue his BLOOD SOAKED murder rampage! It's also your first night babysitting."
Dieses Cover hat mittlerweile 9 Jahre auf dem Buckel. Ich hatte es damals noch nicht digital sondern mit Acrylfarbe geschaffen.
